The SAFE-ANIMAL application helps to find lost animals and also facilitates contacting the owner in case a lost animal is found.

How does it work? When an animal is lost or found, users can send an ALERT which will notify all users in the vicinity that an animal has been lost or found. Users will receive a notification with detailed information about the animal. By sending alerts to users in the area, the likelihood of a quick return home for lost animals is significantly increased.

If we find an animal that has a microchip number or a QR code tag, we can locate the owner's information in the International SAFE-ANIMAL Database.

Background Location Access: The SAFE-ANIMAL application uses access to the device's location even when the app is closed or not in use to provide the user with information about animals that have been found or lost in their area. Location information is not transmitted outside of the user's device.
